La hormiga y el oso hormiguero (inglés: The Ant and the Aardvark) es una serie de 17 cortometrajes animados creada por Friz Freleng, dirigidos por por Friz Freleng, Gerry Chiniquy, George Gordon, Art Davis y Hawley Pratt y distribuidos por United Artists de 1969 a 1971.

La caricatura sigue los intentos de un oso hormiguero azul, que en realidad es un cerdo hormiguero u oricteropo (Orycteropus afer) cuyo nombre jamás es mencionado (voz de John Byner) para atrapar y comer a una hormiga roja llamada Charlie (vos de Byner también).

El aspecto de los cerdos hormigueros puede sugerir que están emparentados con muchos animales, y antes se creía que eran parientes de los osos hormigueros, por las similitudes de sus preferencias alimenticias.



En realidad, los cerdos hormigueros (Orycteropus afer) están emparentados con los elefantes y se separaron de ese árbol familiar hace unos 80 millones de años. Los cerdos hormigueros que conocemos hoy en día son los únicos de su clase que han sobrevivido y que prosperan en los pastizales de África central de los que son autóctonos.

#Anime | Eat-Man.

El mundo de Eat-Man es una mezcla de un futuro de alta tecnología con cuentos de hadas. Los episodios se ubican en varios mundos y tiempos indefinidos.

Aunque a primera vista Eat-Man no parece una serie muy oscura, lo es. En sus  episodios nos cuenta la historia de un mercenario que puede comer metal y transformalo en cualquier tipo de arma (una habilidad de lo más peculiar), pero se desarrolla en un mundo distópico y repugnante, perseguido por la muerte y que parece una mezcla de un futuro tecnológico post-apocalíptico con un cuento de hadas macabro.

The Batman, 2004-2008.

La característica principal de ésta serie es que no sigue la continuidad de las historietas ni de las películas cinematográficas. Los diseños de personajes fueron proporcionados por el artista Jeff Matsuda quién anteriormente se encontraba trabajando en Las aventuras de Jackie Chan, serie que finalizó un año después del estreno de The Batman. Matsuda también dirigió el final e introdujo a muchos de los súpervillanos, como el Joker, el Pingüino y Acertijo con un aspecto radicalmente alterados respecto a sus contrapartes de los cómics. El tema inicial de la serie en las primeras temporadas fue creado por el guitarrista de U2, The Edge.

Mewsette en Paris / Gay Purr-ee (1962)

La historia está ambientada en el cambio de siglo XIX-XX en Francia, predominantemente en París. Sin embargo, empieza en una granja en Provenza, donde la encantadora gata Mewsette está aburrida con su pretendiente (Jaune Tom, un experto pero tímido cazador de ratones). Inspirada por las historias de glamour y sofisticación de París ("Take My Hand, Paree"), Mewsette se escapa a la gran ciudad, donde se encuentra al hábil estafador Meowrice. Aprovechándose de la ingenuidad de la gata, la pone al cuidado de la sutil Madame Reubens-Chatte, quien promete convertir a Mewsette en una exquisita debutante. Meowrice está prometiendo a Mewsette sin que ella lo sepa con un rico gato americano de Pittsburgh, conocido como el "Dr. Phtt" ("El Gato del Dinero"). A principios de los años 1960, Chuck Jones y su esposa Dorothy escribieron el guion de la película animada Gay Purr-ee, dirigida por Abe Levitow. La versión final presentó las voces de Judy Garland, Robert Goulet y Red Buttons, quienes interpretaron a tres gatos que viven en París. El trabajo fue producido por el estudio United Productions of America (UPA), que completó la película y la puso en distribución en 1962.
